Coordinates health screenings, social services and parent involvement activities, and prepares necessary paperwork
Works as a team member to assist in obtaining program's goals and objectives. Utilizes the Family Assessment in order to determine what the families immediate needs are and as to where their areas of interest are concentrated. Conducts home visits for each child/family during the program year. Ensures that each child receives dental screenings and a medical examination according to the appropriate schedule. Assists Program Monitoring Specialists in performing screenings, such as vision, height and weight as needed or required. Identifies and utilizes state and local resources within the community. Maintains an accurate and current Child Health Summary and tracking system by recording all screenings, treatments, follow-ups, immunizations, etc. in child's folder. Makes referrals to appropriate health care or Social Service resources. Insures that all records and forms are completed within specific time frames. Obtains releases and contacts agencies, clinics, and health care providers to obtain pertinent medical information. Provides written notification to parents regarding screenings or follow-up services. Arranges, in cooperation with the Teachers, all monthly parent trainings and contacts qualified presenters in areas of interest expressed by the parents. Attends all pre-service, in-service and other workshops including overnight and out-of-town says as assigned. Assists teachers with children in A.M. when needed. Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
High school education; or general education degree (GED.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
Some formal training or previous experience in Child Development or Social Work is required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must obtain CPR/First Aide certification, Food Handlers Card, and Medication Administration Training (MAT) certification within 6 weeks of employment. Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Bus Drivers S endorsement will be required for Family Advocates who work in centers who provide a bus route on a daily basis. Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.

_Performance Standard 1304.52 (B)(3) current and former Early Head Start and Head Start parents must receive preference for which they are qualified._

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
