Responsibilities include performing routine cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness of the facility, maintaining supplies, and inspecting building for needed repairs.
Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim. Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, and other work areas. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. Dust furniture and equipment. Polishes metalwork. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels, and sills. Empties wastebasket, and empties and cleans ashtrays. Transports trash and waste to disposal area. Replenishes bathroom supplies. Replaces light bulbs. Transports small equipment or tools between departments. Sets up tables and chairs in auditorium or hall. Maintains orderliness of supply room by placing articles in assigned areas. Inspects and disposes of litter from grounds. Informs supervisor of supply shortages and picks up supplies as instructed. Routinely inspects structure for needed repairs and reports any findings to supervisor. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities are required.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
No additional experience is required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must possess the skills to make small routine repairs to the structure.
