Provides technical and operational support to the Health Information System (HIS) and applications identified. Provides training for all assigned personnel using the HIS within the Cherokee Nation Health Services. Troubleshoots, diagnoses, recommends solutions, repairs, and upgrades the various Cherokee Nation and Indian Health Service applications.
Routine duties shall include providing health care services to individuals eligible for services in accordance with the self-governance compact and funding agreement between the Cherokee Nation and United States executed under the authority of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act. Provides technical and operational support for the assigned Health Services applications. Creates, sets up, and provides training for assigned personnel as needed within the Health System. Maintains security measures for system integrity. Organizes and trains clinical staff on accessing and operating the Health Services applications. Implements and supports multi-service software packages that automate the capture of clinical encounter information and its subsequent retrieval. Works with supervisor on maintaining the customization of the site parameters and assists in addressing integration issues with other software packages. Serves as liaison between service lines concerning technical and clinical processes. Logs all problems, referring those requiring a higher level of technical support to the appropriate staff or team. Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and recommends solutions, repairs, and upgrades to the assigned Health Services applications. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
Associate's degree from 2-year college or technical school; or two years (60 credit hours) coursework from 4-year college or university; or three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prefer Computer Science and/or Radiology Technology.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
At least one (1) year experience in a related field is required.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database, Development, Internet, Inventory, Manufacturing, Spreadsheet, and Word Processing software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.

None required.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Must have clinical work flow understanding.
IN HOUSE APPLICANTS ONLY Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
