Answers incoming calls and determines needs of caller; dispatches calls to officers; coordinates emergency situations with appropriate agencies; operates radios and computers; maintains logs, lists and other appropriate paperwork, and compiles and tabulates data.
Answers incoming calls and determines the type of need for assistance. Takes complaints and disseminates information. Ascertains the location where assistance is needed and verifies identity of caller. Determines closest officer to the call and advises the officer of the type of call, location and safest route. Advises other agencies of location and type of emergency situation per officer's request. Communicates with emergency response staff by phone and radio to assure timeliness of service. Operates computer dispatch system efficiently and obtains information for officers per their request. Operates Oklahoma Law Enforcement Telecommunication/National Law Enforcement Telecommunication computer according to set guidelines. Maintains confidentiality. Maintains logs, lists and other appropriate paperwork. Compiles and tabulates data. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and less than one year of specialized training or education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
No additional experience is required.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess or be able to obtain within one year of employment certification to operate the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Telecommunication/National Law Enforcement Telecommunication computer.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must possess the ability to maintain operating efficiently under emergency and stressful conditions. Must possess the ability to operate standard office equipment and computer software, have basic clerical training/skills, and be able to communicate effectively.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of ten code would be beneficial.
Shift Work Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
